Looking back: 2015 in numbers

Three cheers for the new year! 2015 was a year of big changes, lots of courage and huge lifestyle adjustments. As you probably know, one of the biggest things for us this year was making the big move to the Fournier Farmhouse. (Read more about why I traded in my 10 minute bike ride for a 2.5 hour commute here.)Family photoReflecting back on the year makes me realize how quickly it flew by. This year brought with it a bunch of firsts for us as a couple, forcing us to engage in deep conversations, joint soul-searching and big dreaming. We not only celebrated our one year of marriage, but also Oliver's first birthday, our first big move as a couple, and our first time navigating the purchase of our first home.2015 in numbersOn a more personal level, I celebrated my 25th birthday making new friends and discovering an amazing creative community, welcomed 4 beautiful new babies into our family, and dedicated over 180 hours to my night courses towards completing my certificate. I sent random notes of kindness to family and friends, tried new things and trusted myself with difficult projects such as making soap and sewing roman shades from scratch.Roman Shades Kitchen RenoAlthough we experienced a lot of  great things this year, we also went through our share of hardships. We had to say goodbye to my beautiful Grandmother in March,  we fell off the fitness and health wagon, and we watched way too many tv series on Netflix.runningThroughout it all, we managed to keep our spirits high and our optimism for 2016 even higher. Already, we are trying to figure out a meal and workout plan that works for our family and lifestyle, we are working on some big goal planning and are getting even more settled into our new home. We're expecting our new couch at the end of January and can't wait to share some photos of our new home on the blog soon.In 2016, I will create more, finish my Graphic Design Certificate, go on even more walks with Oliver, enjoy our second year of marriage and spend more time trying new things.WilliamCharlesPhoto_0116I am very excited to see what 2016 brings, and I feel lucky to have the chance to share this upcoming year with you here! Cheers to the new year and all it brings!
