An open letter to my dane pup, Oliver-Sebastian

Dear Oliver-Sebastian,We just celebrated our first National Puppy Day together and I could not love you more or be more grateful for your presence in our lives. I had the urge to write you a letter and even though you'll never be able to read it, I am positive you know exactly what it will say.I've never had a dog before and never thought of myself as a dog person until we got you. We originally had asked for a fawn puppy, but when we saw the photos of you at 5 weeks old, we immediately fell in love and knew you had to be ours.Bringing you home from Wisconsin was an adventure in itself and watching you grow has been even more fun. You are the most wonderful dog we could have ever asked for and although we have spent more than enough on vet bills in your short 10 months (thus far), we never once hesitated or thought twice about protecting you or doing all we could to make you feel better.Thank you for making our house a home and filling it with cuddles, playtime and lots of soft kisses. We love that you are so comfortable in our home and have so much respect for our things. We feel so lucky to have a puppy as loving and sweet as you.I promise we're not just biased when we say that you're the most handsome puppy ever. We love how you turn heads on the street and steal the hearts of everyone you meet. I swear we get special treatment everywhere we go because of you. I am always proud to tell people you're mine.You're a super little helper and I love it when you follow me around the house with your curious nose inspecting everything I touch. You're absolutely the best cuddler when you want on the couch and in the morning when you wake us up with soft sweet kisses. It always makes me laugh how you know you're not technically on the bed if your feet are still touching the ground.I hope you've had a fun puppyhood and have enjoyed growing up in our home for the past 8 months. It's been a pleasure having you and I absolutely can't wait to share many more years with you by our side. You are what completes our family.Love always,Your Mommy xo
