Easy and rustic wedding art

As we inch closer to the wedding, our planning focus has shifted from the bigger items (venue, date, dress) to the smaller details. Now that we are making decisions on decor, one of my main deciding factors on what to DYI for the wedding is whether I will be able to use the items both at our reception and afterwards.I was looking for something fun and crafty to make for our guest book table, so with leftover burlap, an empty frame, and my newfound love of vinyl crafts, I came up with this idea that I will definitely hang in our house after our special day.I am very pleased with how it turned out and am more than happy to share with you how I did it! This craft took me under 30 minutes to make and will look great at our wedding and hanging in our home as we start our lives together as husband and wife.I used my Cameo Silhouette machine to cut the design onto vinyl (if you're unsure of how to do this, check out my post on it). This way, I could personalize the design and really make it our own. Just a reminder to fuse your words if you're using a cursive font like I did for the "Fournier."Once it was cut out, I used my hook tool to take off the excess vinyl around the design.I then used the transfer paper on top of my design to transfer it to the frame.  Finalize the transfer by pressing down with the scraper. I recommend going over the design a couple extra times to make sure it really sticks before peeling off. When your design is completely transfered, move it over to the glass and repeat the process with the scraper. Peel off the transfer paper slowly to finish.  I love easy, affordable, quick crafts that look great and are fun to make, and this one is definitely at the top of my list of favourites. The possibilities are endless and I'd love to see what different things you come up with!
